About Geranium Brookside 2 Litre Pot

Geranium ‘Brookside’ – Free-Flowering Cranesbill with Beautiful Blue Blooms

Geranium ‘Brookside’ is one of the finest hardy geraniums for long-lasting garden colour, producing a profusion of large violet-blue flowers with delicate pale centres and fine purple veining from late spring well into summer.

The blooms are carried above attractive mounds of deeply divided green foliage, creating a soft, natural appearance that blends effortlessly into cottage gardens, mixed borders, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes. As the flowers mature, they often deepen in colour, adding further interest to the display.

Its vigorous yet tidy habit allows it to spread gently through borders, weaving naturally amongst neighbouring perennials without becoming invasive. The foliage itself remains attractive throughout the growing season and often develops beautiful red and orange tints during autumn, extending the season of interest.

Highly attractive to bees and pollinating insects, ‘Brookside’ is a valuable addition to wildlife gardens and naturalistic planting schemes. It also performs exceptionally well beneath shrubs and roses, where its long flowering period provides colour between larger flowering displays.

Thriving in full sun or partial shade, it prefers fertile, well-drained soil and is remarkably easy to grow. Once established, it requires very little maintenance beyond cutting back after flowering to encourage fresh foliage and occasional repeat blooms.

Reliable, floriferous, and versatile, Geranium ‘Brookside’ is an excellent choice for adding months of colour and texture to the garden.
