Echinacea or Coneflower

A beautiful perennial that is grown for the beautiful, brightly coloured flowers throughout the summer. Always plant where they can be fully appreciated. They have lance shaped, hairy green leaves and beautiful cone shaped, daisy flowers with drooping petals, sometimes fragrant, throughout the summer. Echinaceas have been used in the past to ward off any infections.  

Where to Site Your Echinacea

Echinacea’s are usually found in prairies and wooded areas. The look really nice mixed with grasses as it is has a nice soft feel with bold flower colours coming through

How to Grow and Look after Your Echinancea

They are perfect drought tolerant perennials that like sun or part shade.<br />Dead head as the season goes on.
