Hornbeam Varities

Carpinus betulus or hornbeam are deciduous plants that boast a stunning appearance throughout the year. These hedges typically grow to an average height of 4-6 meters, with a spread of 2-3 meters when fully mature. Hornbeam  feature glossy, crinkled leaves that transition to a rich copper hue in autumn, persisting on branches throughout winter, offering year-round coverage and seasonal intrigue.

Carpinus Fastigiata are a medium-sized deciduous tree; crown narrow when young, becoming compact and ovoid. Leaves ovate, ribbed and finely serrate, turning yellow in autumn. Fruiting catkins conspicuous, to 8cm in length. Higher than 12 metres.

Carpinus Orange Retz is a new attractive form of this deciduous, erect tree with a very distinctive flame-like outline.The foliage is tinged bronze in spring turning lime green all summer then bright orange in autumn Is also ideal for tall formal hedge.
