Thymus ‘Faustini’ – Aromatic Creeping Thyme with Summer Flowers
Thymus ‘Faustini’ is a compact, low-growing thyme valued for its fragrant foliage and delicate summer blooms. Forming a dense carpet of small aromatic leaves, it spreads gently to create an attractive ground cover in sunny garden spaces.
In summer, clusters of tiny soft pink flowers appear above the foliage, attracting bees and other pollinators while adding a light splash of colour. The flowers combine beautifully with the plant’s fine texture, making it particularly effective in naturalistic and Mediterranean-style planting schemes.
Its creeping habit makes ‘Faustini’ ideal for edging borders, softening the edges of paths, or filling gaps in rockeries and gravel gardens. It also performs well in containers and herb gardens where its aromatic leaves can be enjoyed up close.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this thyme is drought tolerant once established and requires very little maintenance. A light trim after flowering helps keep plants compact and encourages fresh growth.
Fragrant, resilient, and easy to grow, Thymus ‘Faustini’ is a versatile herb that brings both ornamental beauty and wildlife value to the garden.
