This eye-catching rhododendron is popular in UK gardens for its bold, late-spring display of large, funnel-shaped blooms that appear in dense clusters, adding a burst of color to garden borders and woodland settings.

Key Characteristics:

  • Size: Typically grows to a height and spread of 1.5 to 2.5 metres (5-8 feet), making it suitable for both small and large garden spaces.
  • Foliage: Evergreen with dark green, glossy leaves that provide year-round interest and a strong backdrop to its vivid blooms.
  • Flowers: Produces an abundance of rose-pink flowers with a slightly darker throat, blooming in mid to late spring. The large, showy flowers appear in dense trusses, making a dramatic impact.
