Photinia × fraseri 'Red Robin'
Common name: Red Robin
A popular evergreen shrub or small tree, Photinia 'Red Robin' is prized for its vibrant red young leaves, which mature to glossy dark green. This 160–180cm plant in a 35-litre pot provides an instant, colourful feature or screen, ideal for hedging, standalone planting, or containers.
In spring, it produces small white flower clusters, especially if untrimmed. Regular light pruning encourages fresh red growth throughout the growing season. Fast-growing and easy to maintain, it brings year-round structure and colour.
Performs best in full sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil. Tolerates pollution, urban environments, and coastal exposure. Hardy in most UK areas, though best sheltered from cold, drying winds.

Ultimate height and spread (if unpruned): Up to 4–5m high × 2.5–3m wide
