Digitalis ‘Dalmatian White’ – Early White Foxglove with Strong Garden Performance
Digitalis ‘Dalmatian White’ is a reliable and early-flowering foxglove, producing elegant spikes of pure white, tubular flowers marked with delicate speckling in the throat. Unlike traditional biennial foxgloves, it flowers in its first year, bringing quick impact to borders and seasonal planting schemes.
The blooms are held on strong, upright stems above a neat rosette of green foliage, creating clear vertical structure without becoming too tall or dominant. Its clean white colouring adds brightness and contrast, working equally well in soft pastel planting or alongside bolder colours.
With its compact and sturdy habit, ‘Dalmatian White’ is particularly well suited to smaller gardens, containers, and front-to-mid border positions. It provides a classic cottage garden feel with a more controlled and predictable growth pattern.
Thriving in sun or partial shade, it prefers moist, well-drained soil and benefits from a sheltered position to protect the flower spikes. Deadheading can encourage a secondary flush of blooms later in the season.
Elegant, dependable, and easy to grow, this modern foxglove is perfect for adding height, structure, and soft white tones to the garden.
