Cercis canadensis ‘Golden Falls’ – Weeping Redbud with Golden Foliage
Cercis canadensis ‘Golden Falls’ is a striking and elegant weeping redbud, combining cascading branches with luminous golden foliage. In early spring, before the leaves emerge, soft pink, pea-like flowers appear directly on the bare stems, creating a beautiful contrast against the gently arching framework.
As the season progresses, bright golden-yellow, heart-shaped leaves unfurl, catching the light and bringing warmth and colour to the garden throughout spring and summer. The naturally weeping habit gives ‘Golden Falls’ a graceful, architectural form, making it an excellent focal point in smaller gardens or as a standout specimen in borders.
Despite its refined appearance, this variety is robust and easy to grow. It performs best in sun or partial shade, where its foliage colour is at its brightest, and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it is tolerant of a range of garden conditions and requires little maintenance beyond light shaping if needed.
Perfect for contemporary gardens, courtyards, or mixed planting schemes, Cercis ‘Golden Falls’ offers year-round structure, spring blossom, and glowing foliage in a compact, manageable size.
