This outstanding ornamental sedge provides year-round colour with graceful arching foliage in warm coppery tones, intensifying to fiery orange-bronze during the cooler months.
Evergreen foliage in copper, orange and olive-green tones provides interest throughout the year. In autumn and winter, the colours intensify to brilliant orange and bronze, creating a warm glow in the garden when many other plants are dormant.
Ideal for mixed borders, gravel gardens, coastal plantings and containers. Excellent for edging, mass planting or as contrast in perennial schemes. The winter colour makes it invaluable for year-round interest. Works beautifully in prairie-style plantings.
Plant in full sun to partial shade in any well-drained soil. Tolerates poor, dry soils once established. Water during establishment. Comb through with fingers in early spring to remove any dead foliage. Divide every few years if clumps become congested.
Combines beautifully with purple and blue flowering perennials such as salvias, echinaceas and asters. The warm tones contrast wonderfully with silver foliage plants and complement autumn flowering sedums and bronze fennel.
An exceptional ornamental grass that delivers months of evolving colour with minimal care, bringing warmth and movement to gardens throughout every season.
