Blechnum Spicant 3 Litre Pot

Blechnum are mostly hardy mat forming, evergreen Ferns. These fertile plants will grow tall and the sterile plants will spread with age and form a horizontal rosette around the taller fertile Blechnum. They like part or full shade and a moist soil which makes them perfect for planting under larger trees or taller shrubs to fill in any gaps. Blechnum have a dark green foliage in summer, autumn and winter that will turn to a beautiful red with the mixture of dark green in spring. Eventual height is approximately 1/2 metre high and 1 metre wide They are very easy to grow and require no pruning unless you need to remove any damaged or dead leaves.
