Allium ‘White Giant’ – Elegant White Flower Spheres for Late Spring Structure
Allium ‘White Giant’ is a striking ornamental onion, producing large, perfectly rounded flower heads in crisp, pure white. Flowering in late spring, the globe-shaped blooms rise on tall, sturdy stems, bringing height, clarity, and architectural structure to borders.
The luminous white spheres contrast beautifully with rich green foliage and darker-flowered companions, making them particularly effective in contemporary planting schemes or white-themed gardens. Planted in groups, they create dramatic vertical accents that repeat rhythmically through mixed borders.
Highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, ‘White Giant’ supports garden wildlife while delivering strong visual impact. The blooms are long-lasting and can be left to form decorative seed heads for extended interest, or cut for fresh and dried arrangements.
Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this hardy variety is reliable and low maintenance. Once established, it returns each year with minimal care, adding consistent late spring presence.
Bold yet refined, Allium ‘White Giant’ is an excellent choice for gardeners seeking height, structure, and luminous colour in late spring planting.
