Seasonal Beauty & Growth
Spring:
- In spring, 'Sherwood' produces fresh, glossy green leaves that provide a lush backdrop for its delicate, pale pink flowers that begin to bloom. These flowers are tubular in shape, offering a lovely soft fragrance that attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
- The shrub begins to form a neat, rounded shape, which adds structure and elegance to garden spaces.
Summer:
- The flowers of 'Sherwood' continue to bloom profusely throughout the summer, creating a beautiful contrast against the deep green foliage. The light pink blooms provide a soft, elegant touch to the garden, and their fragrance fills the air, making it a perfect choice for areas where fragrance is desired.
- The compact, mounded form maintains its shape and remains tidy throughout the season, requiring little maintenance.
Autumn:
- As autumn approaches, the foliage of 'Sherwood' may take on warmer hues, offering subtle bronze or reddish tones. While the flowers taper off, the shrub continues to provide attractive foliage that keeps the garden looking fresh and lively.
- The compact, rounded form makes it a wonderful option for fall gardens, ensuring that structure and colour remain throughout the season.
Winter:
- 'Sherwood' is deciduous, shedding its leaves in winter. However, its attractive form and structure still add some interest to the winter garden, especially when paired with evergreen plants.
