Phlomis or Jerusalem sage

An upright, perennial shrub with woolly stems bearing lance-shaped, leathery, hairy, grey-green leaves, woolly beneath, and whorls of hooded, purple to pink flowers in summer. 

Where to Site Your Phlomis

These are a great low maintenance plant so can be used everywhere in beds and borders, in coastal or cottage themed gardens.

How to Grow and Look after Your Phlomis

Plant in any well-drained, fertile soil in full sun. Will tolerate partial sun.<br />Prune April-May or after flowering, seedheads can be left on the plant for winter interest if desired.
