Hydrangea macrophylla Pink Ball – Classic Mophead Hydrangea with Bright Pink Blooms
Hydrangea macrophylla Pink Ball is a beautiful deciduous shrub, valued for its large rounded flower heads and long-lasting summer colour. The impressive mophead blooms appear in rich shades of pink, creating bold impact against the lush green foliage.
Flowering from summer into early autumn, the large blooms gradually mature in tone, often developing softer pink highlights as the season progresses. The broad foliage forms a dense leafy backdrop that enhances the vivid flower colour and provides strong garden presence even when not in bloom.
Its compact, bushy habit makes it ideal for borders, patio containers, and shaded planting schemes, where it brings reliable colour and structure throughout the growing season.
Thriving in sun or partial shade, Hydrangea macrophylla performs best in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and benefits from protection against drying winds and intense afternoon sun.
Low maintenance and dependable, it requires minimal pruning, with old flower heads often left in place over winter to protect emerging buds and add seasonal texture.
Bright, elegant, and highly floriferous, Hydrangea Pink Ball is an excellent choice for adding classic summer colour and lush foliage to the garden.
