Where to site your epimedium

With its versatility, low-maintenance needs, and year-round appeal, Epimedium is an excellent choice for shady gardens, woodland settings, and ground cover applications.

How to grow your epimedium

Thrives in partial to full shade; tolerates dappled sunlight in well-draining, humus-rich soil. It prefers slightly acidic to neutral. Add compost or a slow-release, balanced fertilizer in early spring.  In late winter or early spring, cut back old foliage to make way for new growth and flowers.
