Hebes are such a classic shrub that these days are often overlooked for the more vibrant, fancy colours. A great versatile shrub that are great for many positions in the garden.

They look great in pots and mixed flower borders. All gardens should be able to home at least one.

Hebes can adapt to most soil conditions but do best in loose well drained oil. The do well in both sun and shade, although you do get the best when planted in full sun. They don’t require too much fertiliser just a good granular one in spring before they start to grow. Dead head the flowers though out the season to keep new blooms coming through. You can also trim the plants back by half after flowering to promote bushier growth.

Hebe Toparia is a dwarf dense evergreen shrub with an upright habit making a compact rounded bush with Grey Green foliage.  Flowers are White in dense spikes in Summer. H.30cm
