Elaeagnus x Vivileg

Oleaster Viveleg

Elaeagnus or spotted oleaster are a medium evergreen shrub with wide ovate leaves. They often bear fragrant flowers which grow in small clusters around the leaves and are tubular in shape. In the autumn, these flowers are sometimes followed by berries.

Elaeagnus x Vivileg - bear glossy green and yellow leave and small white fragrant flowers.

Elaeagnus make a lovely specimen shrub or a very colourful screening plant as it is very dense growing and can be trimmed to remove any out-of-place stems. Oleaster grow well in fertile, well-drained soil and will tolerate coastal winds.

Where to Site Your Elaeagnus x Vivileg

It performs well in both full sun and partial shade and adapts to a range of soil types, including clay. However, it does not fare well in waterlogged soil. For optimal growth and to maintain its lush, dense form, plant it in a location with good light exposure.

If keeping up with watering is a challenge, consider using a soaker hose to ensure consistent moisture and promote plant health.

Growth and Pruning

This Elaeagnus variety is suitable for medium-sized hedges and typically grows to about 6 to 8 feet tall and wide. It has a moderate growth rate and requires regular pruning to maintain its shape. Prune in late spring or early summer to shape the hedge and remove any weak or damaged branches. A light trim in late summer helps keep it neat and encourages healthy growth.

No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description

How long does delivery take?

Where will you leave my plants?

We will leave your order at the front of your property, Parcelforce may
leave your items in a safe place if you let us know, Pallet couriers
will require a flat hard surface to deliver to, no gravel or soil, a
driveway or parking spot would be best. Most importantly Deliveries by
pallet courier will require access for a large truck (bin lorry sized)
to get near the delivery point. Deliveries sent on our own transport may come in a small van or larger truck.
