Wildlife Friendly
Provides year-round shelter for small birds and insects, while supporting biodiversity in ornamental settings.

The Yew Dome thrives in a range of garden situations — from traditional parterres and clipped avenues to modern minimalist spaces. It’s particularly effective when used:
-
Along pathways or garden entrances
-
As punctuation points in borders
-
In pairs or repeated groups for formal symmetry
-
In large pots or planters for patios and terraces
How to Grow and Care for Your Yew Dome
Soil – Tolerates a variety of soils including chalk, clay, and loam. Must be well-drained.
Light – Grows well in full sun, partial shade, or full shade. Yews are incredibly adaptable.
Watering – Water regularly during the first growing season. Once established, very drought-tolerant and low-maintenance.
Pruning – Lightly clip in late summer or early autumn to maintain its dome shape. Avoid pruning during very hot or frosty weather.
Feeding – Apply a slow-release fertilizer in spring to support strong, healthy growth.
Styling Suggestions
The Yew Dome pairs beautifully with ornamental grasses, soft perennials like Nepeta, or flowering shrubs such as Hydrangea and Lavender. For formal schemes, combine with Box, Hornbeam, or other yew forms like cones and spirals to create rhythm and repetition.
Yew Dome (60–70cm Wide) is a refined, enduring choice for gardeners who value structure, elegance, and ease. Whether used in repetition or as a standalone feature, its sculptural presence and evergreen appeal make it a timeless favourite in gardens of all styles.
