Vinca minor 'Gertrude Jekyll'

Common name: Lesser Periwinkle

A refined white-flowered form of the classic ground cover, Vinca minor 'Gertrude Jekyll' is a spreading, evergreen perennial that forms a dense mat of glossy dark green foliage. In spring and sporadically through summer, it bears clean, pure white star-shaped flowers that brighten up shady borders and underplantings.

This variety is excellent for suppressing weeds on banks, beneath trees, or in tricky spots where little else grows. It spreads steadily via rooting stems but is easy to control with occasional trimming.

Thrives in full shade to sun and tolerates a wide range of soils, including dry shade once established. Fully hardy and very low maintenance.
