Sequoiadendron giganteum – The Majestic Giant for Legacy Landscapes
Sequoiadendron giganteum, commonly known as the Giant Redwood or Wellingtonia, is one of the most awe-inspiring trees in the world. With its immense trunk, deeply ridged bark, and towering form, this iconic conifer brings scale, grandeur, and a sense of permanence to any landscape. Seasonal Beauty & Growth
Spring:
Fresh, soft green growth emerges at the tips of branches, gradually maturing to a deeper bluish-green. The new growth contrasts beautifully with the fibrous, cinnamon-colored bark.
Summer:
The tree continues to develop height and girth, with lush, scale-like foliage forming a dense, conical outline. Its majestic form casts cooling shade and adds striking vertical structure to the landscape.
Autumn:
Evergreen throughout the year, the foliage maintains its rich blue-green color. The reddish-brown bark deepens in texture and tone, adding visual warmth in cooler light.
Winter:
Sequoiadendron giganteum remains a commanding presence in winter, with its towering silhouette and resilient evergreen foliage offering year-round structure and drama. It is fully hardy and resistant to frost, snow, and wind once established.
