Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Twisty Baby’® – A Unique Small Tree with Twisting Branches & Foliage
Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Twisty Baby’®, also known as 'Lace Lady' is an extraordinary ornamental tree prized for its striking, contorted branches and crinkled, curled foliage. Unlike standard robinias, this compact variety is grown for its unusual form and architectural presence rather than its flowers. Reaching around 2.5–4 metres tall and wide, it makes a perfect feature tree for smaller gardens, courtyards, or patios where its sculptural beauty can be fully appreciated.
The twisted branches and zig-zag growth pattern remain eye-catching throughout the year, particularly in winter when the bare framework becomes a natural work of art. In summer, its bright green curled leaves add texture and movement, creating interest in borders or containers.
