A handsome evergreen shrub grown for its attractive foliage and neat natural shape. The small, wavy-edged leaves are grey-green with creamy white margins, giving a light, elegant appearance that stands out all year round. In late spring to early summer, small, deep purple flowers appear, subtly scented with a sweet, honey-like fragrance.

This is a versatile plant that works equally well as a specimen, in mixed borders, or clipped into formal shapes such as balls or hedging. It responds well to regular pruning and is ideal for adding structure and contrast in gardens of all styles. Particularly useful in coastal areas due to its tolerance of salt-laden winds.

Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist but well-drained soil. While it is hardy in most of the UK, some protection may be needed in colder inland areas, especially in harsh winters.
