Bamboos are fantastic shrubs that can be used in a whole range of different ways to create stunning results in your garden. Evergreens can be ideal if you're looking to create an attractive year-round privacy screen. With their distinctive, exotic look, these plants will give you that jungle feel in your garden.

Phyllostachys Bissetii are the best hedge for windy spots compared to the other bamboo they form a nice dense hedge. They have dark green, narrow leaves and canes.

Height can reach between 4-8m.

Grow in well-drained soil, in sun or part shade, and propagate by dividing the bamboo clumps. Feeding bamboo can be done in late spring and summer with a general-purpose granular fertiliser and renew the mulch layer.

Phyllostachys Bissetii is an excellent choice for windy locations, as it forms a dense, resilient hedge compared to other bamboo varieties. It features dark green, narrow leaves and canes, with a height ranging from 4 to 8 meters. With their distinctive, exotic look, these plants will give your garden a lush, jungle-like feel. 

Where should I site my Phyllostachys? 

Plant it in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. To propagate, divide the bamboo clumps. Feed the bamboo with a general-purpose granular fertilizer in late spring and summer and refresh the mulch layer regularly. 

Consider investing in a soaker hose to help keep your plants well-watered without having to think about it, especially during hotter weather.

Growth and Pruning 

Since this bamboo variety grows slightly faster, it will require more frequent pruning to prevent it from becoming invasive. 

To keep the bamboo manageable and healthy, remove weak, dead, or damaged canes down to ground level throughout the year and clear debris from the base. Enhance the appearance of the canes by removing lower foliage, either by snapping offside branches or cutting them with secateurs.

No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description

How long does delivery take?

Where will you leave my plants?

We will leave your order at the front of your property, Parcelforce may
leave your items in a safe place if you let us know, Pallet couriers
will require a flat hard surface to deliver to, no gravel or soil, a
driveway or parking spot would be best. Most importantly Deliveries by
pallet courier will require access for a large truck (bin lorry sized)
to get near the delivery point. Deliveries sent on our own transport may come in a small van or larger truck.
