Monarda ‘Balmy Pink’ – Compact Bee Balm with Soft Pink Summer Flowers
Monarda ‘Balmy Pink’ is a beautifully compact and well-behaved bee balm, offering all the colour and wildlife appeal of traditional Monarda in a smaller, more manageable form. From early to midsummer, it produces rounded, whorled flowers in soft, warm pink tones that sit neatly above aromatic green foliage, creating a cheerful and long-lasting display.
The lightly scented leaves release a pleasant fragrance when brushed past and have good resistance to mildew, making ‘Balmy Pink’ a reliable choice even in smaller gardens or container planting. Its tidy, upright habit works perfectly at the front or middle of borders, where it blends easily with perennials, grasses, and informal cottage-style planting.
Highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, this Monarda adds both movement and life to the garden throughout summer. It thrives in full sun and moist, well-drained soil, and once established, it’s easy to care for with minimal maintenance.
Compact, colourful, and pollinator-friendly, Monarda ‘Balmy Pink’ is an excellent choice for gardeners wanting reliable summer colour without the bulk of larger Monarda varieties.
