It performs well in both open garden beds and sheltered courtyard settings.
Soil — Plant in a moderately fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil. 'Little Lime' is adaptable to a wide range of soil types, including clay and sandy soils, provided drainage is reasonable. Unlike mophead hydrangeas, the flower colour of panicle hydrangeas is not influenced by soil pH, so no adjustment is required to achieve the characteristic lime-green tones.
Hardiness — This is a fully hardy, deciduous shrub that loses its leaves over winter before reliably re-shooting in spring. It tolerates cold winters well and is well suited to temperate Australian climates, particularly in cooler to mid-range regions.
Care
