Heuchera ‘Plum Pudding’ – Rich Plum Foliage with Soft Silver Highlights
Heuchera ‘Plum Pudding’ is a beautifully coloured perennial, loved for its deeply ruffled leaves in rich plum and purple shades, softly overlaid with silvery and rosy tones. The foliage forms a compact, mounded clump that brings warmth, texture, and depth to borders, containers, and shaded planting schemes throughout the year.
In early to mid-summer, slender flower stems rise above the foliage, carrying airy sprays of small white blooms. These delicate flowers add a light, elegant contrast to the bold leaves and attract bees and other pollinators without distracting from the plant’s standout foliage.
Evergreen to semi-evergreen in most UK gardens, ‘Plum Pudding’ provides reliable structure and colour even in winter. Hardy, adaptable, and easy to grow, it thrives in sun or partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Its rich colouring makes it especially effective when paired with silver, lime, or soft pastel companions.
Luxurious, dependable, and endlessly versatile, Heuchera ‘Plum Pudding’ is an excellent choice for adding long-lasting colour and refined texture to the garden.
