Hebe pinguifolia ‘Sutherlandii’ – Silvery Evergreen Structure with Soft, Refined Texture
Hebe pinguifolia ‘Sutherlandii’ is a beautifully neat, compact evergreen that brings cool, silvery-blue tones and soft texture to the garden all year round. Its tiny, rounded leaves form a dense dome that keeps its shape naturally, offering effortless structure in borders, gravel gardens, and contemporary plantings.
In early summer, the shrub produces elegant spikes of small white flowers that sit neatly above the foliage, adding a gentle lift of colour without disturbing its clean, architectural form. These blooms attract bees and early-season pollinators, giving the plant both ornamental and wildlife-friendly value.
Tolerant of wind, salt, and poor, free-draining soils, ‘Sutherlandii’ thrives brilliantly in coastal gardens and dry, sunny locations. Its crisp, silvery colouring makes it a perfect companion for Mediterranean plants, grasses, and modern low-maintenance schemes. Compact, hardy, and extremely easy to grow, it provides year-round interest with almost no effort.
Stylish, calm, and wonderfully reliable, Hebe ‘Sutherlandii’ is ideal for gardeners looking to introduce cool tones and tidy evergreen structure into both traditional and contemporary designs.
