Ginkgo biloba ‘Globosa’ – Compact, Architectural Form with Timeless Appeal (110–120cm Wide)
Ginkgo biloba ‘Globosa’ is a slow-growing, dwarf variety of the iconic Maidenhair Tree, prized for its naturally rounded, ball-shaped canopy and distinctive, fan-like foliage. Supplied as a root ball specimen with a broad, sculpted crown approximately 110–120cm wide, this tree is ideal for adding instant architectural structure to formal gardens, courtyards, or minimalist landscapes.
Its compact size and symmetrical habit make ‘Globosa’ perfect for feature planting, lining pathways, or flanking entrances. The delicate green leaves emerge in spring, creating a soft yet structured canopy that turns a brilliant golden-yellow in autumn, delivering seasonal drama with little maintenance.
Exceptionally hardy and tolerant of urban conditions, ‘Globosa’ combines ancient lineage with modern style, offering a unique alternative to more common clipped topiary forms.
