Geranium ‘Max Frei’ – Compact Cranesbill with Intense Magenta Blooms
Geranium ‘Max Frei’ is a charming, low-growing hardy perennial, beloved for its compact habit and vivid magenta-pink flowers. Blooming from late spring through summer, this variety creates a vibrant carpet of colour that contrasts beautifully with its deeply divided, mid-green foliage. As autumn arrives, the foliage often takes on attractive red or bronze tones, extending its seasonal appeal.
With its tidy, mounding form and excellent ground-covering ability, ‘Max Frei’ is ideal for the front of sunny borders, edging pathways, gravel gardens, or softening the edges of rockeries. It also performs well in containers and is deer- and rabbit-resistant, making it a dependable choice for a wide range of garden settings. Exceptionally low-maintenance and drought-tolerant once established, this variety is an excellent addition to pollinator-friendly planting schemes.
