Gaura ‘Pink’ – Airy Grace with Clouds of Dancing Blush Blooms
Gaura ‘Pink’ is a delicate, long-flowering perennial admired for its masses of soft pink, butterfly-like flowers that flutter on tall, wiry stems from late spring to autumn. With a naturally airy and informal form, Gaura adds movement and texture to garden borders, containers, and wildlife-friendly spaces. Its graceful appearance and drought-tolerant nature make it a low-maintenance favourite for modern and cottage-style gardens alike.
Seasonal Beauty & Growth
Spring:
New growth forms a neat clump of slender, lance-shaped green leaves, preparing for the long flowering season ahead.
Summer:
From late spring into early autumn, tall, slender stems rise above the foliage, bearing delicate pink blooms that resemble tiny butterflies in flight. The flowers open in succession, creating a cloud-like, ethereal display that lasts for months.
Autumn:
Blooms persist into early autumn, fading to pale tones as cooler temperatures set in. The foliage may develop reddish tones, adding subtle seasonal interest.
Winter:
In colder climates, Gaura dies back to the crown. In milder areas, it may retain a basal rosette of foliage. Cut back in late winter or early spring to promote fresh new growth.
