Is viburnum evergreen or deciduous?
Both — it depends on the variety. Viburnum tinus and davidii are evergreen; bodnantense, opulus and carlcephalum are deciduous, often with excellent autumn colour and fragrant flowers.
Which viburnum is best for a hedge?
Viburnum tinus is the most popular choice for an informal evergreen hedge or screen, thanks to its dense foliage and long flowering season.
When does viburnum flower?
Across the genus, almost year-round: bodnantense and tinus flower in winter, burkwoodii and carlcephalum in spring, and opulus in early summer.
