Helenium ‘Moerheim Beauty’ – Fiery Late-Summer Perennial with Rich Autumn Colour
Helenium ‘Moerheim Beauty’ is a classic late-summer perennial, admired for its warm copper-red flowers and long-lasting seasonal display. The daisy-like blooms are richly coloured with hints of orange and bronze surrounding prominent dark brown centres, creating a vibrant, glowing effect in the garden.
Flowering from midsummer well into autumn, it provides valuable colour at a time when many earlier perennials are beginning to fade. The upright stems rise above neat clumps of green foliage, bringing height, movement, and strong vertical presence to borders.
Its warm tones combine beautifully with ornamental grasses and prairie-style planting, while the nectar-rich flowers are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.
Thriving in full sun, ‘Moerheim Beauty’ prefers moist but well-drained soil and performs best when not allowed to dry out completely during prolonged hot weather. Hardy and reliable, it forms gradually expanding clumps that return year after year with minimal maintenance.
Deadheading spent flowers can help prolong blooming, while cutting back after flowering keeps the plant tidy through winter.
Bold, colourful, and full of seasonal warmth, Helenium ‘Moerheim Beauty’ is an excellent choice for adding rich late-season colour and pollinator interest to the garden.
