Common name: Oleaster

A tough and versatile evergreen, Elaeagnus × ebbingei is ideal for pleached screens, offering dense, year-round foliage in a smart, elevated format. perfect for above-fence privacy, stylish division of garden areas, or architectural interest.

Its leathery, dark green leaves with silvery undersides provide a reflective quality and excellent wind protection. Small, creamy-white, highly fragrant flowers appear in autumn, followed by orange berries. Fast-growing and tolerant of a wide range of conditions including coastal exposure, wind, and pollution.

Best in full sun to light shade in any well-drained soil. Prune to maintain shape and frame density.
