Viburnum tinus – Laurustinus 60/80cm

Viburnum tinus, also known as Laurustinus, is a versatile evergreen shrub widely used for hedging and year-round garden interest. Its dense, dark green foliage forms an excellent backdrop, while its long flowering season adds seasonal colour. From late autumn through early spring, clusters of pink buds open into fragrant white flowers, followed by metallic blue-black berries that attract birds.

Supplied as plants at 60/80cm, Viburnum tinus establishes quickly and provides reliable screening in both formal and informal settings. It is hardy, shade-tolerant, and adaptable, thriving in a wide range of soils and conditions, including coastal and urban sites.

Why Choose Viburnum tinus?

  • Evergreen Screening – Dense, glossy foliage year-round.

  • Long Flowering Season – Pink buds and white blooms from autumn to spring.

  • Wildlife Value – Flowers for pollinators, berries for birds.

  • Hardy & Adaptable – Grows well in sun or shade, urban or coastal sites.

Planting & Care Guide

  • Position: Sun or partial shade.

  • Soil: Any fertile, well-drained soil.

  • Planting Distance: 3–4 plants per metre for a hedge.

  • Watering: Water well until established.

  • Pruning: Trim lightly after flowering to maintain density and shape.
