This beautiful compact rock rose produces an abundance of white flowers adorned with eye-catching crimson blotches from late spring through summer. The grey-green evergreen foliage provides year-round interest and structure in the garden.
Late spring and summer bring a profusion of papery white flowers that create a stunning display against the silvery foliage. The evergreen leaves maintain garden interest throughout winter months.
Ideal for Mediterranean-style gardens, sunny banks, gravel gardens, and coastal locations. Excellent in containers on patios or as part of a drought-tolerant planting scheme. Works beautifully in rock gardens and at the front of sunny borders.
Plant in full sun with sharply draining soil. Avoid heavy clay or waterlogged conditions. Once established, requires minimal watering. Light pruning after flowering helps maintain shape but avoid cutting into old wood. No feeding necessary in poor to moderately fertile soils.
Combines beautifully with lavender, rosemary, and other Mediterranean plants. Pairs well with ornamental grasses and silver-leaved perennials such as artemisia. Plant alongside other cistus varieties for an extended flowering display.
A charming addition to any sunny garden that rewards with masses of flowers and requires very little care once established.
