A graceful herbaceous perennial producing masses of delicate semi-double flowers in soft shades of pink during late summer and autumn.
From August through October, elegant stems rise above the foliage carrying pale pink semi-double blooms. The deeply divided dark green leaves form attractive mounds in spring and summer, providing excellent ground cover.
Outstanding for shady borders, woodland gardens, and beneath trees. Perfect for late-season interest when many other perennials are fading. Works well in cottage garden schemes and naturalistic plantings.
Plant in partial shade with moist but well-drained, humus-rich soil. Mulch in spring to retain moisture. Once established, plants are drought tolerant. May take a season to settle before flowering freely. Divide in spring if needed to control spread.
Combine with Astrantia, Brunnera, and Hosta for a harmonious shade planting. Partners beautifully with Hydrangea, autumn-flowering Sedum, and ornamental grasses like Hakonechloa.
A reliable and elegant addition that brings colour and movement to the autumn garden.
