Choisya ternata ‘Greenfingers’ – Compact Mexican Orange Blossom with Fragrant Flowers
Choisya ternata ‘Greenfingers’ is a neat, compact form of Mexican Orange Blossom, valued for its glossy evergreen foliage and beautifully scented white flowers. In spring, clusters of star-shaped blooms appear above the leaves, releasing a sweet citrus fragrance that drifts gently through the garden.
The rich green foliage remains dense and attractive throughout the year, providing reliable structure and colour even when the plant is not in flower. When brushed, the aromatic leaves release a light scent, adding further sensory appeal.
‘Greenfingers’ has a naturally tidy, rounded habit, making it particularly well suited to smaller gardens, patio containers, or low evergreen hedging. It also works well in mixed borders where year-round foliage is important for structure.
Often producing a second lighter flush of flowers in late summer, this variety offers extended seasonal interest with minimal maintenance. Hardy and adaptable, it thrives in sun or partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
Compact, fragrant, and wonderfully versatile, Choisya ternata ‘Greenfingers’ is an excellent choice for adding evergreen presence and seasonal perfume to UK gardens.
