To water Full and Three-Quarter Standards, start with thorough watering when planting to establish roots. Water deeply once or twice a week, adjusting for weather conditions. Increase frequency during dry spells and reduce in cooler weather. Check that the soil is moist but not waterlogged; if it feels dry a few inches down, it's time to water. Mulch around the base to retain moisture, but keep it away from the trunk to prevent rot. In winter, water less, only if the soil is dry. This routine keeps your trees healthy and looking their best.
