Flowering cherries thrive in full sun, essential for abundant flowering. Prefer moist, well-drained soils. Most tolerate a wide range of soil types, though slightly acidic to neutral soil is ideal. Mulch annually in spring to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, keeping mulch away from the trunk.
