Euonymus Jap. Green Spire

Euonymus japonicus ‘Green Spire’ – Sleek, Upright Evergreen for Strong Year-Round Structure

Euonymus japonicus ‘Green Spire’ is a beautifully upright, columnar evergreen that brings refined structure and neat, architectural lines to the garden. With its dense, glossy deep green leaves and naturally narrow habit, it’s perfect for adding height and order without taking up valuable space — a modern alternative to boxwood for hedging or clipped shapes.

Its tidy, vertical form makes it ideal for planting in pairs to frame doorways, lining pathways, creating small formal hedges, or providing evergreen punctuation in mixed borders. ‘Green Spire’ is also excellent in containers, where its slim silhouette adds elegance to patios and terraces throughout the year.

Hardy, adaptable, and very low maintenance, this Euonymus thrives in full sun or partial shade and copes well with a variety of soils, including urban conditions. It holds its deep green colouring beautifully through all seasons, offering reliable structure when other plants die back. Its slow-growing, compact nature means minimal trimming is required to keep it looking neat.

Sophisticated, versatile, and wonderfully robust, ‘Green Spire’ is an ideal plant for gardeners wanting year-round form and clean architectural impact.

Spring: Fresh, glossy green foliage emerges densely on upright stems.
