Pittosporum are large evergreen shrubs which are fast-growing when young. They are grown for their glossy green foliage, bearing oblong-ovate, wavy-edged leaves.
Pittosporums are ideally planted in fertile, well drained soil in a border or as a coastal or city hedge. If being used as a hedging plant, they should be trimmed into shape in spring or summer.
