Malus Everest

Crab Apple

Malus ‘Everest’ is a deciduous ornamental crab apple tree (H 6–8 m) celebrated for its profuse pale pink buds that open to fragrant white flowers in spring. In autumn, the tree produces small red fruits that attract birds and add seasonal colour. Hardy H5–H6, it thrives in full sun on fertile, well-drained soil, making it a reliable and low-maintenance feature in gardens.

Seasonal Beauty & Growth

Spring:

  • Pale pink buds burst into masses of white flowers, creating a striking display.

  • Upright, spreading branches form a graceful silhouette.

Summer:

  • Glossy green foliage provides shade and garden structure.

Autumn:

  • Bright red fruits appear, attracting birds and adding colour to the garden.

  • Leaves gradually turn golden before falling.

Winter:

  • Bare branches offer architectural form and visual interest.

  • Mixed Borders & Wildlife Gardens: Flowers and fruits support pollinators and birds.

  • Urban Gardens: Compact enough for larger patios or avenues.

Growing Conditions & Care
