Anemone hupehensis 'Prinz Heinrich'
Common name: Japanese Anemone
A charming late-summer perennial with semi-double, deep pink flowers held on tall, wiry stems above clumps of dark green, deeply divided foliage. Flowering from August into October, it brings welcome colour and movement to borders when many other plants are fading.
‘Prinz Heinrich’ is a reliable and long-lived variety, excellent for mixed borders, wildlife-friendly planting, or naturalistic schemes. It spreads gradually to form generous clumps, providing great seasonal value year after year. Loved by pollinators and low-maintenance once established.
Thrives in partial shade but will tolerate full sun if soil remains moist. Best in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil. Hardy throughout the UK.
Ultimate height and spread:
80–100cm high × 60–90cm wide in 2–5 years
Position: Partial shade or sun with moist soil
Soil type: Moist but well-drained, fertile
Suitable for: Borders, wildlife gardens, cottage planting, late-season interest
Does the height include the pot?
No, we measure from the top of the pot to the tip of the plant except for some of the instant planted screens, in this case it will be stated in the description
