If you opt for the tall varieties then we would suggest plating these towards to the back of the border against a nice sunny wall or as a stand-alone variety. You can also now get nice compact dwarf varieties which are ideal for the font / middle of the border or pot plants
Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Deadhead the flowers as they fade to encourage new. Pruning buddlejas we would recommend doing one half in March and the other half the following the year. Its best to keep them pruned to get the best flowers
