Buddleja davidii ‘Rocketstar Orchid’ – Compact Butterfly Bush with Elegant Orchid-Pink Blooms
Buddleja davidii ‘Rocketstar Orchid’ is a beautifully compact butterfly bush, producing elegant spikes of soft orchid-pink flowers from early summer through to autumn. The upright flower panicles stand above grey-green foliage, creating a refined display that brings colour and movement to borders.
This variety is particularly valued for its neat, manageable size and profuse flowering habit. Despite its compact growth, it produces abundant blooms that attract butterflies, bees, and other pollinators throughout the season.
‘Rocketstar Orchid’ works wonderfully in mixed borders, wildlife gardens, and patio containers, where its soft colouring blends easily with ornamental grasses and late-flowering perennials. Its tidy form makes it well suited to smaller gardens where space is limited.
Hardy and easy to grow, this buddleja thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Cutting back in early spring encourages strong new growth and ensures a long flowering season each year.
Graceful, colourful, and pollinator-friendly, Buddleja ‘Rocketstar Orchid’ is an excellent choice for adding long-lasting summer colour and wildlife interest.
