Buddleja davidii ‘Rêve de Papillon Blue’ – Compact Butterfly Bush with Long Summer Flowering
Buddleja davidii ‘Rêve de Papillon Blue’ is a charming compact butterfly bush, producing elegant spikes of soft violet-blue flowers from early summer through to autumn. The slender flower panicles rise above silvery-green foliage, creating a light and airy display that brings colour and movement to borders.
Highly attractive to butterflies, bees, and other pollinators, this variety is a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly gardens. Its long flowering period ensures a steady source of nectar throughout the warmer months.
The naturally compact habit makes ‘Rêve de Papillon Blue’ particularly well suited to smaller gardens, mixed borders, and patio containers. It blends beautifully with ornamental grasses and late-summer perennials, adding both colour and structure.
Hardy and easy to grow, this buddleja thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Regular deadheading encourages continuous flowering, while pruning in early spring keeps plants compact and vigorous.
Graceful, colourful, and wonderfully wildlife-friendly, Buddleja ‘Rêve de Papillon Blue’ is an excellent choice for adding long-lasting summer interest to the garden.
