Potentilla fruticosa ‘Creamissima’ – Long-Flowering Shrub with Soft Cream Blooms
Potentilla fruticosa ‘Creamissima’ is a charming and reliable shrub valued for its exceptionally long flowering season and gentle creamy-yellow blooms. From late spring through to autumn, masses of delicate, open flowers appear across the plant, bringing soft colour to sunny borders for months.
The small, finely textured green leaves create a neat backdrop for the flowers, forming a tidy mound that remains attractive throughout the growing season. Its compact habit makes it particularly suitable for the front of borders, low hedging, or patio containers.
Potentillas are well known for their toughness and adaptability, thriving in a wide range of garden conditions. ‘Creamissima’ performs especially well in sunny positions where its flowers continue to appear over a long period.
Hardy and low maintenance, this shrub tolerates poorer soils and dry conditions once established. A light trim in early spring helps maintain a compact shape and encourages fresh flowering growth.
Soft, cheerful, and wonderfully dependable, Potentilla ‘Creamissima’ is an excellent choice for adding long-lasting colour to low-maintenance gardens.
