How to Grow and Care for Polemonium ‘Bressingham Purple’
Soil – Prefers moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Tolerates heavier soils if not waterlogged.
Light – Best in partial shade or dappled sunlight. Too much sun may scorch the leaves.
Watering – Keep soil evenly moist, especially during dry spells. Avoid letting the soil dry out completely.
Pruning – Remove faded flower stems to tidy up the plant and encourage fresh foliage. Cut back after flowering if foliage looks tired.
Feeding – A light mulch of compost in spring will keep the plant healthy and improve flowering.
Polemonium ‘Bressingham Purple’ is a quietly beautiful, reliable perennial that provides colour, texture, and pollinator appeal in shadier corners of the garden. With its distinctive foliage and graceful blooms, it adds understated elegance and pairs effortlessly with other woodland-style favourites for a natural, soothing display.
