Parrotia

Parrotia or Ironwood Tree

An usual, deciduous tree. Grown for its attractive flakey bark. Attractive autumnal leaf colours of yellows, reds and purples. They have small crimson flowers on bare stems during winter and spring.

They are a medium to large tree, they will need a large spot for tehm to reach their full potential. 

How To Grow Your Parrotia

They do well in well drained soil, in sun or partial shade. For the best colour they prefer netural to acidic soil. They can take 50 years to reach their full potential height.
