Also known as false Acacia are beautiful deciduous trees. Grown for their brightly coloured foliaged and fragrant pea like flowers. They flower spring to early summer
Where to site your Robinia
These trees make a lovely specimen and work well with dark foliaged plants.
How to grow your Robinia
These specimens grow well in full sun but sheltered from strong winds. They grow in poor soil and can tolerate dry conditions once they are established.
Once established they don’t require much maintenance, a general fertiliser in spring around the roots.
In late summer / early autumn a light prune of any damaged branches that have been caused and remove any suckers where necessary.
